The National Monuments Service's description

On the floor of a flat valley with good views in all directions, in tillage. A roughly circular raised platform (overall dims. 20m N-S; 19m E-W) enclosed by traces of a slight earthen bank (overall Wth 2m; Wth at crest 1-1.5m; int. H c. 0.6m; ext. H 1.3m) and possible external fosse showing only as rough vegetation. On the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map there appears to be a lime kiln in the interior in the S quadrant. There is a ramped entrance (Wth 4m) at S which, if original, was probably modified to provided access to the kiln. The 25-inch OS map depicts an outer enclosure (overall dims. 47m N-S; 58m E-W) defined by scarp, c. 2-8m beyond the inner enclosure, being widest in the NW (13m) and W (c. 9m) sectors. This survived as a raised berm (Wth 5-6m; H 0.2-0.3m) in the N sector when inspected in 1987. Aerial photographs (ASIAP (19) 12, 14) taken in 1995 shown this outer enclosure as a cropmark.
