The National Monuments Service's description
From the church of the Augustinian abbey of Fertagh (KK0080047001-) located c. 3.5km to the NNE. The W doorway (KK008-153----) and the E window (KK008-153001-) were removed in 1799 and reconstructed in the C of I church in Johnstown (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 294). The large E window of cut limestone chamfered externally, consists of four round-headed lights surmounted by flowing tracery within a pointed window. The tracery is somewhat unbalanced, giving it a rather clumsy appearance. The pointed hood-moulding terminates with horizontal stops from which vine leaves flow on the dexter side and ivy leaves on the sinister side, similar to the treatment of the stops on the other window (KK008-152002-) from Fertagh, now inserted in the RC church.
