The National Monuments Service's description
On top of a low flat-topped ridge in gently undulating terrain, in pasture. There are good to extensive views in all directions, with the round tower of Grangefertagh being visible 2km to the NNE. This monument is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 22m) within a larger roughly triangular enclosure (dims. c. 42m E-W; c. 60m N-S) which is broader at the northern end and tapers to a point at the S. The N portion of the outer enclosure has been truncated by a road running roughly NW-SE. The monument appears to have been levelled between 1839 and 1900, as it is not depicted on the 1900 revision of the OS 6-inch map and is not visible at ground level.
