The National Monuments Service's description
On the end of a small ridge or knoll, at the break in slope between gently sloping valley sides and steep uplands, in rolling grassland. There are good views over the Goul and Rathlogan river valleys. Within a roughly circular enclosure (KK008-078001-), possibly a ringwork. The OS Letters (1839) noted, 'a piece of a strong stone wall within it near the western side, measuring twenty five feet [7.6m] in length and from two [0.6m] to five [1.5m] feet in height. It looks like part of an old Castle but I could discover no tradition about it from any person' (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 1, 146-7 (48)). This wall is not visible at ground level.
