The National Monuments Service's description
In valley floor above floor plain but well below steeper hillsides. There are good views in all directions. Indicated as an oval enclosure on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map (overall dims. c. 60m N-S; c. 50m E-W). The monument had been levelled by 1900, as indicated on the 2nd (1900) ed. 6-inch OS map, with only the curve of the eastern sector being retained in a field boundary which ran roughly N-S of the monument. However, since 1987 this field boundary been removed. The monument is not visible at ground level.
