The National Monuments Service's description
In flat wet boggy pasture with relatively clear views in all directions due to low lying terrain. Since being visited in 1987, this and neighbouring fields has been planted with forestry, a buffer being left around the monument. An oval, raised platform (max. dims. 22m N-S; 19m E-W; H 1.2-1.4m), enclosed by berm (Wth c. 8.5m) with an outer bank (Wth c. 3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.6m). There is no entrance. Though originally classified as a platform rath, the morphology suggests it may be a stepped barrow.
