The National Monuments Service's description
Just below the crest of a hill on a SE-facing slope in undulating upland terrain, under pasture. The ground is quite waterlogged in the NE quadrant. The views to the N and E are limited, while those to the S and W are very good. An arc (chord NW-SE 113m; NE-SW 42m) of a possible circular enclosure (diam. c. 124m) is depicted on the 1899 OS 6-inch revision. The arc is not hachured but is depicted as a continuous curving line. The enclosure is not visible at ground level. It is transected by a field boundary running NNW-SSE through the monument and another running ENE-WSW through the S portion of the enclosure.
