The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle slope above the flood plain on the W side of the River Nore, in reclaimed grassland. According to Borlase (1897, vol. 2, 402), in this townland, 'Between this hill and the river, a great many human bones have been found, and among others, a skeleton enclosed between flags'. The precise location of these burials within the townland is unknown.
