The National Monuments Service's description
On the NE bank of a small stream on the floor of the Nore river valley, in marshy grasslands. The low-lying area is intersected by many small stream beds. Land rises gently to W and NW to crest of low hills bordering the Nore valley. A circular area (diam. c. 25m) consisting of a level interior enclosed by earthen bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H c. 1.2m) and external fosse (Wth c. 2.5m; D 0.8-09m).
