The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on a steep SE-facing rocky slope overlooking Glanmore Lake and valley. The remains of a circular hut site (2.8m E-W; 2.6m N-S) defined by an eroding earth and stone bank (Wth 1.3m; H 0.6m). The partially obscured interior is cut (D c. 1m) into the upslope along the NW arc and raised (H c. 1.3m) along the SE arc to compensate for the hillslope. A charcoal-making site (KE111-029002-) is c. 60m to the S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
