The National Monuments Service's description
In hill pasture, on the SE-facing slope of Lackabane Mountain. An irregular area (c. 65m N-S; 45m E-W) defined by the lower courses of a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.6m), the stones of which protrude above the bog and are partly grass covered. Two hut sites (KE111-025002-, KE111-025003-) are within the NE sector of this enclosure.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
