The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope, to the SE of the Drimminboy River. A circular area (10.4m N-S) defined by a grass-covered, earthen bank (Wth 2.35m; int. H c. 0.6m; ext. H c. 0.7m). Some stones protrude through the upper surface of the bank. A gap (Wth 1.4m) at S may indicate the location of the entrance. The E portion of the interior is built up slightly and the W portion is cut into the upslope, creating an almost level interior.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
