The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on a gentle SE-facing slope near the N bank of the Drimminboy River. A circular area (diam. 10m) defined by the lower courses of a drystone wall (T 1.2m; H 0.7m). A modern drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 1.1m) is set on top of the outer lip of the enclosure wall W-E and on the inner lip E-W. The enclosure wall is collapsed and poorly preserved with stone robbed for the construction of the more recent wall. Rubble is scattered along the internal and external perimeters, especially on the downslope SE-SW. The S portion of the interior is raised (H 1.1m) and the N portion is cut (D c. 1m) into the upslope. There is an entrance (Wth 0.7m) at E. There is a standing stone (KE111-003001-) in the SE quadrant.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
