The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, to the N of the Glanrastel River. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.5m) defined by traces of a low, grass-covered bank NE-SE, by a poorly preserved drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.2m) SE-W and by an upsloping scarp W-NE. The hut site is cut (D 0.4m) into the upslope at N and built up (H 0.45m) externally at S. Stones protrude through the grass cover at intervals along the W-NE arc. The entrance may have been situated along the E arc where the bank is low.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
