The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, at the foot of a N-facing slope, on the S bank of the Glanrastel River. The remains of a rectangular hut site (5.1m NW-SE; 2.5m NE-SW) defined by a drystone wall (T c. 0.6m; H 0.5m) which protrudes above the blanket bog. Only the tops of the lower course stones are visible above the bog surface. There is a possible entrance at SW where a break in the wall occurs.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
