The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on a terrace on the N-facing slope of Knocknaveacal. A roughly oval area (dims. c. 70m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW) defined by a ruined drystone wall (T c. 0.7m; H 0.75m) with several breaks, especially along the NE arc. Large boulders of the lower courses are grass covered and protrude above the bog. The upper courses are mainly collapsed. A hut site (KE108-052003-) and an enclosure (KE108-052002-) are located in the S half of the enclosure. The N wall of a hut site (KE108-052004-) abuts the S arc, externally. Another hut site (KE108-05205-) is situated outside the enclosure to the N. A field wall lies adjacent to the W arc of the enclosure.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
