The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope overlooking the Drimminboy and Croanshagh Rivers. An oval raised area (24.4m E-W; min. 18m N-S) is defined by a low and poorly preserved earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.6m) SE-NW and intermittently NW-SE. The bank is overgrown and impenetrable NW-NE. There is an intervening fosse (Wth 2m) SE-W, an outer bank (H 0.3m) WSW-W and an outer fosse (Wth 1.8m) WSW-W. All the outer enclosing elements are covered with blanket bog. Most of interior is impenetrable due to overgrowth and it is occupied by a children's burial ground (KE108-023----). There is a souterrain (KE108-023002-) in the N half of the interior.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
