The National Monuments Service's description
The W half of the site's interior is slightly raised and features a number of upright slabs in its NW quadrant. These probably relate to the site's use as a ceallúnach burial ground (KE107-013001- ) (local information).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 621. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
