The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a small enclosure on the OS maps, this site is located in pasture overlooking Darrynane Bay to SW. The oval interior measures 8.55m N-S x 7.85m E-W, and is enclosed by a low wall composed of a rubble core faced internally with intermittent upright slabs. Field clearance material abuts the SW sector of the site.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 714. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
