The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on the S bank of the Coomeelan stream. The remains of a rectangular hut site (3.5m E-W; 3.1m N-S) defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 0.9m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.4m) which is faced externally with stone. The level interior is obscured by rushes. A break at N may indicate an entrance. There is another hut site (KE103-046003-) c. 12m to the SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
