The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, in a sheltered hollow, on a N-facing slope overlooking a river valley. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.4m) protrude above the surface of the bog, extend intermittently to the E for c. 70m and curve gently to the N for c. 20m to an enclosure (KE103-041007-) and three hut sites (KE103-041004, KE103-041005-, KE103-041006-). Upright stone slabs (H 0.9m) occur at irregular intervals along the relict wall. A hut site (KE103-040002-) adjoins the N face of the field wall, mid-way along its length.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
