Within a field system (KE103-019001-). A rectangular area (5m E-W; 4.2m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.6m). The interior, which slopes down to N, is covered with loose stones. A break in the wall at W may indicate an entrance. This enclosure adjoins two walls of the field system: an E-W wall at S and a N-S wall at W. There is an enclosure (KE103-019006-) c. 10m to the N and another enclosure (KE103-019003-) is c. 40m to the W.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
