The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. This oval cairn (4.6m NE-SW; 3.6m NW-SE; H 0.6m) of partially grass-covered stones protrudes above the surface of the shallow bog. Traces of kerbing were noted along the SW arc. This is one of a group of nine cairns (see KE102-091003-, KE102-091004-, KE102-091005-, KE102-091006-, KE102-091007-, KE102-091008-, KE102-091009-, KE102-091010-), the closest of which (KE102-091007-) lies c. 85m to the NW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
