The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. This circular cairn (4.2m E-W; 4.1m N-S; H 0.8m) of loose stones is partially obscured by grass and gorse. Traces of kerbing are evident along its N arc and possibly also at SE. This is one of a group of nine cairns (see KE102-091003-, KE102-091004-, KE102-091006-, KE102-091007-, KE102-091008-, KE102-091009-, KE102-091010-, KE102-091011-), the closest of which (KE102-091006-) lies c. 8m to the E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
