The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on the lower S-facing slopes of Derrynacaheragh. A circular area (20.5m N-S; 21m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.9m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.4m). The bank is faced internally with stone N-E and SE-W, and is obscured by field-clearance debris NW-N. There is an entrance (Wth 3m) at SE and there are further gaps in the bank at E and W. A farm road skirts the bank externally along the W arc and a river winds around the bank externally NE-SE. There is a souterrain (KE102-057001-) in the E half of the interior.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
