The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a hillock with commanding views in all directions over the valley of the Dromoghty River. An elevated roughly oval area (46m E-W; 36m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 2.1m) SWW and NNWN and elsewhere by a scarp (H 1.7m). The scarp is faced EW with a stone wall which appears to be of recent construction. A distinct inward curve in the scarp at SW suggests that part of this area may have been damaged or removed. Field-clearance rubble is piled against the scarp face WNNW and NSW. This rubble also spills into the interior at irregular intervals. A children's burial ground (KE102-019002-) and a souterrain (KE102-019004-) occupy the NW half, where the uneven ground surface is partially obscured by overgrowth. The church site (KE102-019001-) is in the SE half, where coniferous trees and scrub obscure the uneven surface. Stones are evident on the surface intermittently, especially in the SE half. A circular (diam. 3.4m) arrangement of large stones on the surface at NE appears to be a recent addition.
