The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a NW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. The remains of a curvilinear stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.3m) protrude above the surface of the bog and extend to the SW for c. 25m where it runs into bog for c. 15m. From here it reappears intermittently for c. 50m and then curves to the SE for c. 50m. Faint traces of cultivation ridges (Wth 3.2m) are evident to the N of the wall. There is a rath (KE102-011----) in the immediate vicinity to the NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
