The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a S-facing slope near the N bank of the Glashanaglaragh stream. A circular area (27m E-W; 24m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 8.4m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 3.4m) WSW-ENE, with gap at W, and by a scarp ENE-WSW. A shallow external fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.3m) is evident W-N. The entrance (Wth 2m) is at NE. The level interior is grass covered and the S portion is raised to compensate for the hillslope. A farm road skirts the external edge of the bank along the NE arc. A stream skirts the rath at E.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
