The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a NE-facing slope, overlooking Lough Inchiquin. A rectangular area (8m E-W; 6.4m N-S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 1.5m). Outcropping rock forms part of the base of the wall at S and W. The entrance (Wth 0.65m) is situated off-centre to the W in the S wall. A N-S wall divides the interior into two: the larger area (6.4m N-S; c. 4.7m E-W) is at the W, the smaller area (6.4m N-S; c. 3.3m E-W) at the E. The dividing wall is situated immediately E of the entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
