The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 1.8m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.6m) with large stones protruding above the surface of the bog. The E portion of the interior is raised (H 0.3m) to compensate for the hillslope and the W portion is cut (D 0.4m) into the upslope. There is a relict field boundary (KE101-090004-) in the immediate vicinity of the hut site.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
