The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture and cutaway bog, on an E-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. A section of a N-S wall extends for c. 55m between two riverbanks. The wall (T 0.7m; H 0.5m) protrudes above the surface of uncut bog. Part of the wall is exposed in an area of cut bog, where the lower courses survive upright at right angles to the line of the wall and are set in clay.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
