The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a NW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of Lough Inchiquin. A N-S field wall extends upslope (L c. 70m) in a S direction, curves to the SW and W and extends downslope toward a cliff-edge fort (KE101-072----), c. 25m to the NW. The stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.6m) protrudes above the surface of the bog. The stones are mainly set upright at right angles to the line of the wall while some others are set contiguously along its length. Cultivation ridges (Wth 2.4m; H 0.3m) were noted to the NW. Three hut sites (KE101-072002-, KE101-072003-, KE101-072005-) adjoin the relict field wall.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
