The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on the E bank of a meandering river. A horseshoe-shaped mound (13.1m N-S; 8.5m E-W; H 1.5m) of burnt material, with steeply sloping sides. The opening (Wth 1.4m) faces W towards the river. The tip of the NW arm is being eroded by the river and burnt material is exposed here and also on the E edge of the mound.
