The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the N side of a ridge, on a rocky W-facing slope. The remains of a rectangular hut site (6.6m N-S; 5m E-W) defined on the W, N and E sides by an earth and stone bank (Wth 0.65m; H 1m) and on the S side by a scarp (Wth 1.2m). The S portion of the interior is cut (D 0.85m) into the upslope. A fosse-like depression (Wth 2.6m; D 0.35m) is visible on the W, N and part of the E sides of the hut site, externally.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
