The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on uneven ground, on the S shore of Kenmare Bay. An oblong area (20m E-W; 14m N-S) defined by an earth and gravel bank on the shore-side and by a drystone field wall on the S side; the E and W sides are open. Low uninscribed grave-markers are visible in the interior, some fallen and obscured by overgrowth. Trees grow within the burial ground. According to local information, Mass was celebrated here in 1999.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
