The National Monuments Service's description

A rath was recorded in the 1940s in 'James O'Shea's farm in East Clonee' (SMCK). It has not been precisely located. It is also probably one of the 'two lisses' (see KE101-034----) recorded in the townland by Capt. D. B. O'Connell in the 1930s (KAS). It is most likely that this possible rath is in that part of the townland that is on the OS 6-inch map 101.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
