The National Monuments Service's description
This standing stone, not marked on the OS maps, is located on a ridge on the lower W slopes of Beenrour mountain. It is roughly rectangular both in plan and elevation, tapering slightly in width towards the top. It stands 1.59m high, and measures 1m x .14m at base; NW-SE.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 205. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
