The National Monuments Service's description
In the 1940s, a possible stone circle (KE097-053----) was recorded on the lands of Mr. J. O'Sullivan, Coom, and it was also noted that the 'spot also has the appearance of an old burial place' (ITA). The precise location of this possible burial ground is not known.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
