The National Monuments Service's description
A portion of a wall is occasionally visible on the beach about 250m to E of KE097-009----. This was formerly buried in peat, traces of which remain, and a sample was radiocarbon dated to 1730 BP (Mitchell 1989, 100).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 45. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
