New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Grousemount, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. The remains of a roughly oval hut site located on a level terrace of poor-quality pasture roughly c.25m southeast of NICH17 and c.5m northwest of NICH19 at ITM grid co-ordinate 509469, 571226. The eastern half of the hut is defined by a low arc of dry-stones which terminate to the north and south compass points. West of the opposing entrances, a more angular and higher coursed concentration of random stones forms the western portion of the structure. It measures 4.2m northwest to southeast by 3.4m northeast to southwest and encloses an area measuring 3.1m by 2.4m. The walls measure between 0.6m and 0.7m in width and their height varies from 0.4m on the eastern side to 0.6m on the western side of the feature.
