The National Monuments Service's description

New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Barnastooka, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. The remains of a roughly oval hut site, long axis aligned NW-SE, and consisting of collapsed dry-stones (ITM grid co-ord. 505568, 571306). It is built against inside of NICH36 settlement enclosure on the south, with an arc of set stones defining it on the north. Its overall length is not clear as it is difficult to tell how far to the southeast it extends. Its maximum length is 3.5m (NW-SE) and its width is 2.5m (NE-SW). The height of the collapsed structure is 0.4m.
