The National Monuments Service's description
In rough mountain pasture, on the N-facing slope of Carran Mountain. The remains of a collapsed relict field wall (Wth 0.7m; H 0.4m) which extends in a general NW-SE direction for a distance of c. 180m. The relict wall protrudes above the shallow bog.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
