The National Monuments Service's description
Within a pre-bog field system (KE094-046----). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (2.3m E-W) defined by a drystone wall (T c. 0.6m; H c. 0.4m) with a straight E side (L 2.7m N-S). Only a few stones of the S wall survive. There is an entrance (Wth 0.7m) in the E wall which leads into an adjoining hut site (KE094-046004-). Another hut site (KE094-046005-) lies 20m to the NE and two other hut sites (KE094-046001-, KE094-046009-) are c. 65m to the SW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
