The National Monuments Service's description

In the 1930s Capt. D. B. O'Connell noted that at the foot of the hill below the conjoined raths (KE094-038----, KE094-038005-) and about 400m to the W of them was 'another distinct liss, now cleared away for farming purposes' (KAS). A possible souterrain (KE094-038004-) was also noted by O'Connell in this rath (KAS). The precise location of this rath and souterrain is not known.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
