The National Monuments Service's description

In the 1930s, Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded a rath, with the tradition of an underground chamber (KE094-038001-) in it, to the NE of a farmhouse and near a road junction to 'a place called Lot' (KAS). This possible rath has not been precisely located. O'Connell also recorded a smaller rath (KE094-038005-) immediately to the S and the site of another (KE094-038002-) nearby, on top of which the farmhouse was built (KAS). A possible rath (KE093-038003-) with a possible souterrain (KE094-038004-) were also mentioned, about 400m to the W (KAS).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
