The National Monuments Service's description
One of a group of eight cairns (see KE093-094002-, KE093-094003-, KE093-094004-, KE093-094005-, KE093-094007-, KE093-094008-, KE093-094009-) which are arranged in a rough arc in the E half of an enclosure (KE093-094001-). This sod-covered cairn (3.8m E-W; 3.45m N-S; H 0.65m) is circular in plan. Where the sod cover has been eroded, stones of various shapes and sizes, including some of quartz, are visible. Another cairn (KE093-094007-) lies 4m to the E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
