The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture, on a level break on an E-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. Recorded in 1999 as a roughly D-shaped area (12.6m N-S) with the straight side at S (L c. 18m) defined by a low, partly grass-covered, drystone wall (T c. 0.6m; H 1m). Some upright stones were set at right angles to the line of the wall and the S wall contained crude boulders. The entrance (Wth 1m) was at the W end of the S side. The S portion of the interior had been cut into a gentle upslope and the N portion had been raised slightly to give a level interior. A small rectangular setting of stones near the centre of the enclosure appeared to be of relatively recent date. On a subsequent inspection in 2007 there were no visible remains of this enclosure, the land having been reclaimed and reseeded. There is a relict field boundary (KE093-086001-) is c. 60m to the W and a wedge tomb (KE093-086003-) c. 60m to the SSW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
