The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a rise on the N side of the floor of the valley of the Roughty River. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) is visible on an aerial photograph (ACAP, V 178/62-63) taken in 1955. This enclosure is not visible at ground level. The area is now used as a caravan park and campsite.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
