The National Monuments Service's description
This enclosure, marked as a small circular outline on the second edition of the OS map, was located in rough grazing pasture on the lower N slopes of Knocknafreaghane. Land clearance may have resulted in its removal. It would appear, because of its small size, to have been a fionnán enclosure.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 829. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
