The National Monuments Service's description
This site is located in NW sloping upland pasture and overlooks the Cummeragh river valley to N and W. It survives as a heavily overgrown, roughly rectangular area and measures 20.4m NW-SE x 12.7m NE-SW. Numerous grave-markers, most of which occur in an apparently random manner, occupy its uneven upper surface. In the SW sector, four slabs delineate one side of a low, rectangular, stony mound, which measures 6.3m x 2.3m and .5m high.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 986. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
